Role Summary: The Construction Fabricator will be responsible for assisting in the fabrication of various components and/or whole parts to support the production and manufacturing of specialized water treatment equipment and associated systems. You will be required to use forklifts, scissor lifts, drill presses, belt sanders, band saws, bench grinders and iron-workers.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Construction Fabricator, you will:
Assist in fabricating and manufacturing various components of specialized equipment used in industrial water treatment applications
Use drill presses, belt sanders, band saws, bench grinders, iron-workers, and other specialized equipment to fabricate parts and water treatment systems properly and safely
Have to pipe-fit various materials such as PVC, CPVC, fiberglass, and stainless steel
Practice good safety procedures in order to keep self and others injury free
Follow good housekeeping practices by keeping fabrication and tool storage area neat and clean as well as timely cleanup of work area after each job is completed
Perform confined space entry in small tanks with 14x18" manways
Travel for field repair and install if needed Maintain records and reports
High School Diploma / GED, Home School Certification or international equivalent
Ability and willingness to travel as required
Ability and willingness to perform physical duties such as lifting, climbing, and manual dexterity
Ability and willingness to work in range of environments to include but not limited to industrial facilities, manufacturing facilities, and power industry facilities
Ability and willingness to work in confined spaces
Ability and willingness to obtain forklift certification within 90 days of employment
Minimum of 3 years of experience in pipefitting, fabrication, and operation of drill press, belt sander, band saw, ironworker and bench grinder
Experience in reading P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Drawing)
Knowledgeable and committed to Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) practices
Knowledge of basic inventory control concepts
Knowledge of basic quality control concepts
Excellent communication skills
Diligent and customer focused
Strong teamwork skills
