Role Summary: Current Powered by GE is seeking a Communications Intern that will utilize their past experiences and build upon those to drive uptake and growth within the organization as part of the Communications team.
Essential Responsibilities: The role may include tasks such as: • Interviewing employees regarding a variety of business initiatives • Running video equipment to capture business events • Utilizing company social media to inform stakeholders of relevant company information such as corporate social responsibility initiatives and product launches • Helping to coordinate employee events
These tasks provide the co-op visibility to other functions and engagement with cross-functional teams affording them the opportunity to get exposure to other functions and processes. This co-op will be part of a larger team focused on deliverable impactful/ measurable initiatives.
The perfect candidate will have previous work experience (not necessarily in communications) possesses excellent communication skills, exemplary organizational skill and is proficient tin Microsoft Office, mainly Excel and PowerPoint.
Qualifications/Requirements: • Minimum 3.0 cumulative overall GPA or better (out of 4.0) • Current Junior or Senior classification – Sophomores with relevant work experience may be considered • Must be enrolled full-time at an accredited college or university • Demonstrated interest in a communications/ video career • Demonstrated leadership, communication and analytical skills • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
