Role Summary:
The Assistant Operational Controller position will responsible for controllership activities in relation of GE
Healthcare's legal entities in the region. He/she will ensure timely and accurate Closing &
Reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis, provide technical Controllership guidance to both
finance and operations leaders and support the country controllers in the business.

Essential Responsibilities:
Rigorous Reporting Environment
• Perform financial analysis of balance sheet accounts to ensure compliance, integrity of account balances/financial reporting and effectiveness of business processes
• Key participant in preparation for meeting such as quarterly CFO risk reviews, Rep Letter and monthly controllership reviews
• Monitor and review the financial ledgers of each legal entity to ensure maintenance in compliance with local laws/GAPs, tax codes, government regulations and filing requirements
• Perform KPI analysis on regions processes, timely & other metrics (such as statutory and tax filings, reporting requirements during the quarter closes) & work with the Entity Controllers to drive improvements in Reporting
• Drive consistent and effective policies and procedures during monthly/quarterly close process including GE Corporate Data Request submissions, representation letters & adjusting entries
• Ensure timely and defect-free account balance sheet reconciliations. Review high risk/material account reconciliations
• Partner with GE Corporate Audit Staff and Finance Managers for internal GE compliance reviews. Drive closure of open audit issues and proactively work to prevent future issues / manage risk. Lead resulting corrective action process implementation and follow up throughout the organization
• Monitor and review that appropriate Internal Controls are in place, in line with local statutory laws and GAPs, GE GAP, US GAAP, and critically examine potential issues where financial risks & opportunities may be drawn out
• Proactively lead adherence to GE GAP compliance policies

Business partnering
• Partner with numerous business finance functions to align Controllership initiatives and priorities to ensure controllership deadlines are met
• Identify potential risks and opportunities and communicate effectively to senior management
• Participate in regular finance reviews, providing value added analytics to mitigate financial risk and provide senior management with decision-making information

• Help lead simplification initiatives across the EGM to reduce complexity and enable local teams to focus on value added analytical/strategic tasks (including IT finance projects/support)
• Drive MJE & LJE reduction process with a focus on upstream solutions.
• Monitor, Identify and Rectify process defect in processes run by MENAT Global Operations teams and other COEs to ensure timely, accurate Reporting for the areas they own

Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other business related field and 2
year advanced accounting or finance experience 2. Demonstrated proficiency in U.S. GAAP and
local GAAP 3. Experience working with GLPROD, Hyperion and ARM
Preferred Qualifications: 1. Experience working in a global business environment with sound
understanding of global process and transactional flows 2. Excellent verbal and written
communication skills and the ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise
manner 3. Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance
drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change 4. Clear thinking/problem solving:
successfully led projects/process improvements within operations/finance functions; able to quickly
grasp new ideas 5. Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information,
different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations 6. Integrity:
accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications,
actions and when dealing with others 7. Experience working in a matrixed environment
