Role Summary:
Support EDC Aviation Systems team to keep project funding, metrics & budget under control. Establish plans and coordinate operational activities of multi-disciplined task between US/UK/Polish Sub-Sections. Be an advocate of management initiatives. Serve as a mentor and resource for other engineers within the team

Essential Responsibilities:
  1. Provide leadership, direction and coordinate activities for multi-disciplined teams on assigned tasks

  2. Understand technical challenges of the Avi-Sys teams / adjacencies and develop strategic plans that are consistent with business objectives

  3. Introducing, improving, co-ordinate and monitoring engineering and administrative processes inside of the organization

  4. Track funding, metrics & budget - obtain appropriate manpower allocations to support these activities

  5. Work with entire organization to identify, define and execute projects with Engineering Productivity & Simplification impact; seek, share and institutionalize best practices

  6. Leading operations team. Train, coach and mentor less experienced personnel on business and technical processes and standards

  7. Serve as an expert to the business on Six Sigma philosophy, theory, and application tools/tactics

  8. Updating Resource Supply & Demand data for various customers

  9. Presenting operations data to management

  10. Supporting financial team and administration team

  11. Supporting global operation organization


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Some experience in engineering, operations, project management or administration position,

  • Experience at leading multi-disciplined engineering teams,

  • Quantitative and analytical skills, good understanding of IT, statistically literate and familiar with Lean Six Sigma quality concepts and tools,

  • Experience in applying statistical tools to Process Improvements and Quality projects,

  • Experience on Operation position will be an advantage.
