Role Summary: As Director, New Business Development Partnerships, you will join the GE Digital Business Development team and be responsible for sourcing and managing of a portfolio of investments, BD prospects, and their respective engagements with GE.
Target, source and engage prospective and existing portfolio companies || Understand the GE investment thesis, the company’s technology and the strategic relevance to GE and in particular, GE Digital
Manage GE internal business development efforts || Based on the company’s technology and the investment rationale, identify opportunities for the portfolio companies, facilitate introductions and manage active opportunities. Facilitate introductions across all GE businesses, regardless of the company, product or technology.
Coach and advise portfolio companies || With the complexities of the GE organization, advise companies with respect to opportunity prioritization and management. Escalate and advocate for the portfolio company. On-going management of these relationships and agreements is an integral part of the job.
Drive technical engagement || Once an opportunity is identified, facilitate the structure of SOW’s, POC’s (Proof of Concept), Pilots and collaborations
Go to market, Promotion & Visibility || Work together with GE businesses, and its startup and innovation programs to drive participation eg EDGE program. Advocate for portfolio companies and maximize visibility at GE Digital Events including Minds and Machines and the Predix Transform conference.
Monitor and Report || Coordinate with the Business Development Team and GE Ventures to deliver quarterly portfolio reviews and ad hoc reporting requirements
A minimum of 5 years industry experience in venture capital, strategic investing, business development, and/or M&A; enterprise software experience preferred
Must be willing to work out of an office location in San Francisco bay area

Strong project management and communication skills; ability to navigate and execute across all levels, functions and business units Familiarity with venture capital or strategic investing, startups and cloud technologies
Demonstrated ability in software portfolio management, and or business development
