Role Summary: The Sales Resource Optimization (SRO) Center of Excellence is focused on delivering world class commercial structure, team sizing and deployment of sales personnel across the US commercial organization. The SRO Leader will execute consistent programs and processes that support the vision of the COE and will expand resource optimization.
Essential Responsibilities: 1. Provide advice and consultation on channel strategy, sales force sizing and deployment of sales resources 2. Explore analytics and market potential and make deployment recommendations to Region Leaders 3. Lead multi-function projects aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our commercial team 4. Work with industry leaders to enhance methodologies and long-term capabilities of SRO processes 5. Develop rigorous control plans and operating mechanisms for projects 6. Document standard operating procedures associated with these core processes 7. Respond to ad hoc analytical design and reporting requests from the COE and Commercial Leaders 8. Lead simplification and other special projects as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements: 1. Bachelor's Degree in business administration or related field 2. 5+ years experience in Sales Force Effectiveness, Sales, Commercial Operations or equivalent analyst role 3. Experience developing and implementing creative solutions in an unstructured environment 4. Demonstrated ability to lead and influence a team within a large, complex matrixed organization 5. Demonstrated ability for constructive conflict with senior sales leaders 6. Demonstrated record of meeting commitments 7. Demonstrated effective communication and presentation skills 8. Demonstrated analytical skills 9. Process improvement experience – ability to define inputs, process steps and outputs
Desired Characteristics: 1. Experience in consulting 2. MBA 3. Prior sales experience 4. Experience in Customer Relationship Management (Sales Force automation, Customer Master, Data warehousing and Business intelligence tools) 5. Project Management certification 6. Self-starter with a sense of urgency 7. Local candidates preferred
