Role Summary: As a Systems Administration Engineer, you'll utilize your expertise to help ensure the highest level of security for high-stakes ($100mm and larger) programs. You will be afforded the opportunity to exercise your knowledge of all IT infrastructure technologies including desktops, networks, servers, storage, backups and applications as well as providing insight on improving operational and security processes and procedures within the security domain.
Essential Responsibilities: - Own and manage operations technology projects - Work with Architecture and Technical Product Management teams to establish operational procedures for new products and technologies - Assist in the modification or establishment of operating practices - Troubleshoot issues with various infrastructure elements and manage support escalations, as necessary - Assist in maintaining procedures and controls necessary to ensure and protect the safety and security of all information systems assets - Set up, configure, deploy, and maintain PCs, servers, advanced workstations, HPC, and LANs in a fast-paced, secure environment - Apply strict security profiles in accordance with the National Security Program Operations Manual (NISPOM), and other government customer guidelines
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or Engineering from an accredited university or college OR, an Associates Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology (IT), Computer Science or Engineering from an accredited school or institution with a minimum of 2 years of information systems design, implementation, or integration OR, A high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of information systems design, implementation, or integration
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS : - Ability to obtain a U.S. DoD TOP SECRET security clearance - This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status prior to employment
