Role Summary:
We are looking for an Engineer, who will focus on developing and delivering Identity (ID) Proofing and PKI solutions. In this role you will work in a team to design, develop, deliver and operate these solutions for GE Predix platform. You will partner with cross-business teams to define solution requirements, develop and deliver solutions, and drive process and technology improvements.

Essential Responsibilities:
You are an Engineer who enjoys security work and has desire to build expertise in systems security, applications security, and cryptography for the cloud/ Software Defined Infrastructure (SDI). In this role, you will be building the security platforms and integrating with stakeholders and customer solutions.

In this role, you will:
  • Develop ID Proofing infrastructure
  • Develop Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
  • Integrate of solutions with other platform applications
  • Develop analytics and reporting capabilities for solutions
  • Design, implement, support, and evaluate security focused tools and services
  • Participate in security compliance efforts


Qualifications/Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
  • BS degree or higher in Computer Engineering or in a STEM major (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math)
  • Minimum 2 years IT experience
  • Minimum of 1 year IT experience with working with ID Proofing solution
  • GE Leadership Program Graduates will get credit towards relevant work experience, commensurate to the program they have completed

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills.
  • Must be willing to travel 5%
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in San Ramon, CA


Desired Characteristics:
  • Hands-on experience of implementation, and operationally supporting solution in SDI
  • Knowledge and experience with vetting, and proofing policies and best practices
  • Analyzing and developing reports

Technical Expertise:
  • A general understanding of supporting technologies including HTTP, XML, LDAP, PKIX, PKCS, SSL, and TLS standards
  • Strong coding and scripting languages like Java, C and Phyton
  • Encryption solution and PKI infrastructure like HSM, KMS, and have worked with cloud / web-based applications and/or web services-based applications
  • Candidate should be knowledgeable of SDI

Business Acumen:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Agile Methodology

Leadership:
  • Foster a collaborative and cooperative team environment, encouraging input and participation from all members

Personal Attributes:
  • Contribute to and lead discussions and communications within the team and outside, including customers and other business units
  • Effective communication and collaborative skills
