Role Summary: The HPI (Hydrocarbon Processing Industry) /CPI (Chemical Processing Industry) Industry Executive will be the strategic industry and product line leader for GE Water focused on the downstream oil and gas vertical.
Essential Responsibilities: The Industry Executive is directly responsible for the overall profitability of the water and process offerings for the downstream oil and gas industry and is responsible for the development of an integrated solutions for Refining and Petrochem and roadmap with short and long range growth and competitive strategies on a global basis. This position will work closely with corporate accounts and regional commercial organizations as well as technology and product and commercial support teams across GE W&PT in order to ensure a vibrant, compliant product and commercial offering aligned with the present and future needs GE Water’s HPI / CPI business.
As the Industry Executive, HPI / CPI, you will:
Oversee the total product life cycle for the HPI / CPI product lines utilizing a multi-generational product plan, interacting with technology, supply chain, sourcing, commercial, regional engineering and product applications to drive product platform penetration and market expansion
Establish and deliver short and long term growth and profitability targets for Downstream Chemicals and iService offerings and develop execution plans to drive direct material productivity (DMP) improvement and cost out
Establish Operating rhythm rigor for HPI / CPI industry vertical including a monthly executive team rhythm
Develop and execute (with technology, product management and commercial) launch and commercialization plans to successfully bring new product and commercial models to the market
Champion the Fastworks process for new product initiatives to get product and ideas quickly into the market place
Own, direct, and review NPI (New Product Introduction) Fastworks processes with technology and other stakeholders
Actively engage customers, raw materials suppliers and industry bodies to secure jointly funded NPI and pilot projects
Work closely with commercial and product operations team to develop and deploy pricing / costing tools and policies
Stay closely connected with technology, commercial, and product applications to maintain a deep knowledge of current developments in the industry and identify opportunities for new market growth and penetration
Evolve product and service offerings related to the strategic markets as outlined in the business blueprint and growth playbook
Develop concepts for new products and offerings by analyzing internal and external customer feedback, market research, emerging technology, and competitive trends
Work closely with product management, sourcing, comm ops and digital to strengthen our system for tracking material cost, revenue, and fulfillment and CM rates by product, product family, market segment and by pole
Provide support and direction for the creation of sales tools, launch materials and collaterals, working together with the marketing communications team
Work closely to align remote monitoring and diagnostics into the product portfolio to add value to the customer, increase profitability and product differentiation
Maintain C- level relationships with key influencers in corporate accounts, EPC’s and suppliers / partners
Assist in the preparation and presentation of winning proposals
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Biology, Chemistry or Marketing
Minimum of 10 years of experience developing and supporting solutions for Downstream industries including a minimum 5 years of relevant sales, product management or marketing experience
Demonstrated ability to create a vision, a strategy around this vision and drive a plan to execution
Strong process and project management skills with ability to drive projects and meet deadlines
Proven success in developing and leveraging global cross-functional and cross-business relationships
Strong analytical and computer skills
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Willing and able to participate in frequent global travel including onshore and offshore oil production locations
Experience in creating digital solutions for industrial customers
Strong understanding of GE Water products, services, technologies and applications
Ability to adhere to high ethical values
Executive presence including calm perseverance in challenging or frustrating circumstances
Ability to integrate theoretical concepts into practical applications
Ability to quickly sort relevant information from irrelevant information to make informed decisions
