Essential Responsibilities: The Digital Thread Hub in Van Buren Township, MI is where GE's best and brightest technical and research experts come together and use cutting-edge technologies to solve some of the world's toughest problems. GE's Digital Technology professionals working at the center are helping accelerate the future of GE by enabling business processes, driving simplification while ensuring the security of our information and assets, and increasing collaboration for employees, customers and partners through digital innovations. GE Co-ops may later be considered for full time entry-level positions based on availability of positions, the interviewer's assessment and the applicant's preference.
GE Summer Intern assignments are full time assignments that extend from May through August 2017. The specific work assignments vary in terms of the processes impacted and the type technologies utilized, however, most assignments are in the following technical areas with assignment matches based on student's area of technical interest and/or demonstrated technical skill:
Business Intelligence/Data Modeling
DBA (Oracle & SQL Server)
ERP Development (Oracle & PeopleSoft)
The co-op assignments are intended to expose program participants to GE technology, culture and businesses. Co-ops have significant exposure opportunity to key leaders at GE as well as current full-time employees. Co-ops also have extracurricular opportunities to engage in various activities both socially and from a professional development perspective.

Currently enrolled in a Bachelors or Masters Degree in CIS, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, IT Security, ITM, Informatics, Information Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, MIS, Security and Risk Analysis or relevant STEM majors with experience in Software or IT experience.
Minimum Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or equivalent in experience
