Role Summary: The Electrical Tester will set-up and perform all types of electrical tests on sub-assemblies, assemblies and completed switch-gear equipment.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Electrical Tester, you will:
Perform mechanical checks and adjustments as required to complete the assigned tasks
Inspect, modify, repair, disassemble, reassemble, calibrate, electrically set and test relays, meters, switches, breakers and other mechanical /electrical devices and components
Read electrical prints to trace wires and verify continuity and correctness of both wiring and electrical circuits.
Trouble-shoot and diagnose suspected faulty or defective devices.
Maintain records of tests performed and results obtained.
Accumulate data as required for trend analysis of test results on new or existing products
Support our continuous improvement processes through our LEAN initiatives
Work in other areas when test workload is low
Perform other duties as assigned
Associate’s Degree in industrial Electronic Applications from an accredited university or college (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum 5 years of experience in practical application in Basic Electricity with strong emphasis on three phase power circuitry)
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours / overtime during high production times, as required
Supportive of the work team concept and our Lean continuous improvement program
Strong ability to interact with Requisition Engineering and assembly teams to solve technical problems
Proven leadership skills to be able to work with manufacturing leaders and assembly personnel to define test and quality priorities
Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated intermediate computer skills
