Role Summary: The Software Cost Specialist will report to the O&G Digital COE CommOps Leader and will part a new O&G Digital Commercial organization. Besides working on specific deals, she/he will also focus on enabling the regions to create their own Software proposals.
Essential Responsibilities: In the role of Software Cost Specialist you will:
Deliver extraordinary impact thriving on GE culture beliefs
Work closely with product management, Proposal Writer, Solution Architect to precisely build the cost structure for the Software Solutions Proposals
Develop, execute and maintain consistent Software sourcing strategies, working toward a consolidated strategic supply base
Support the commercial team in managing Cost, Quality and Delivery performance of the Software partners
Identify opportunities, make recommendations and obtain agreement for re-sourcing and re-negotiation of on-going Software supplier relationships and execute on the same
Support the regions and potentially enabling them to build their own expertise on Software costs
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum 3 years of experience within the software industry, including partner’s management
Minimum 2 years of experience working with SaaS models / pricing
Demonstrated capability to manage several proposals simultaneously
Some experience working with the O&G industry
Proven ability to lead horizontally and influence teams outside of formal authority and reporting lines
Demonstrated business / initiatives start-up experience
Possess good understanding of how the team integrates with other teams in accomplishing common objectives
Present capability in being very hands on for job execution
Flexible and adaptable style, capable of pivoting based on changing industry and/or team needs This position must be located within the US and may be located in either an GE office or remotely from a home office
