Role Summary:
The Reverse Osmosis (RO) Platform & Fastworks Engineering Leader manages a nine person North American based engineering team responsible for sustaining Standard RO Platform products, and New Product Introduction (NPI) design generation. This team of product experts has the unique and demonstrated capability of delivering short cycle engineered solutions utilizing RO, NF, and UF integrated technologies. You also have the responsibility of sustaining existing system designs and product lines.



Essential Responsibilities:
As the Reverse Osmosis Platform & Fastworks Engineering Leader, you will:

  • Manage day to day workload for the RO Platform & Fastworks Engineering team, including supporting manufacturing, component specifications, and creating complete drawing packages
  • Sustain engineering efforts across multigenerational product lines
  • Develop and manage the Engineering / Manufacturing relationship at multiple sites in the US and Canada
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement & cost out efforts across the product line
  • Manage third party design & drafting teams to support engineering drawing deliverables
  • Closely interact with Product Management to align goals & objectives related to multi generation product line planning
  • Ensure system designs meet relevant certifications & listings; NSF, UL, CE, etc
  • Provide expertise and recommendations to support customer or end user challenges
  • Manage and own document control activities within engineering team
  • Identify skill gaps and work to develop expertise within team to fill these gaps
  • Identify opportunities to improve / simplify / streamline processes
  • Travel occasionally for this position


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience engineering, designing, sourcing or fabricating Industrial Water Treatment equipment including a minimum of 2 years of people management experience

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability and willingness to travel 10% of the time



Desired Characteristics:
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, P&IDs, Electrical schematics, PLC ladder logic, and related documentation
  • Demonstrated successful ability to manage complex situations / difficult customers and undefined project issues and initiate solutions that support business objectives
  • Knowledge of membrane process equipment
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Effective critical thinking skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, quick to deliver and a team player willing to provide support across functions
  • Experience working in SAP
  • AutoCAD and/or Solidworks experience
  • Professional Engineering License
  • Direct Manufacturing experience
  • Previous capital equipment execution and or management experience
