Senior Repair Operations Leader

Role Summary:
Lead Repairs Operations and Support repairs growth PS Transactional Business Region Repairs Financials (P&L) and Developing Repair Sales Growth.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Operation of TX Repairs and Repairs Financials (P&L),
  • Support Cost out Drive Cash and Collections
  • Pulse region for growth, NPI's, best practice and lesson learned sharing
  • Support region operations and P&L team to identify and prioritize systemic parts or repairs issues and drive improvements with fulfillment teams
  • Work close with operations teams, Managing and Service Directors regarding shop issues during repairs
  • Engage and support improvement with Shops, OSR performance and metrics
  • Develop and identify projects with Quality and USA shops to identify areas of opportunity to reduce defects and increase productivity and cost reduction
  • Establish an effective communication channel with the shops to follow up progress, report findings and improve communication among Shops, customers and PGS. During ITO process communicate in efficient manner the LL and BP with Sales and Commercial teams to improve proposals and reduce risks
    Growth Initiatives
  • Localization shops. Identify potential GE and Non-GE shops in the region to develop local repairs, focused for generator, steam turbine repairs for GE, Alstom and MVA: Gevisa, Monterrey, Taubate, etc. Localization shops to develop repairs for BOL equipment: Boiler, compressors, pumps, etc.Be prepared for emergencies to support customers
    o Utilize the certified shops for bearing repairs and identify other potential parts
  • Establish an operation rhythm to support outages, identification of local shops and continue working with Sourcing
  • Work close with Product- Line team to identify potential repair products
  • Develop a local strategy to implement On-Site repairs, coordinate with LES teams and create the LATAM local resources (labor and equipment) to be more responsive to the customer needs
  • Work close with Sensoplan and create a synergy with Sales, Product Line team
  • Identify local market and local competitors to choose the opportunities to follow. Identify strengths to be more competitive
  • Work in projects with logistic team to know in advance freight costs, cycle transportation time (sea, air), customs barriers, develop an strategy to be more responsive in normal and urgent situations
  • Work close with the LATAM Tool Center to develop the tools or equipment needed to perform local repair services, transportation skids, etc.
  • Develop a repair solutions catalog with updated information, targeted to a detected specific market (generator field and stator rewinds, ST repairs, on-site repairs, in-situ inspections and diagnostics, etc.)
  • Support aero business, identify issues and find solutions to increase operational support and sales growth
    Develop PS TX Repairs Sales
  • Sales Forecasting and Pacing. Driving MYA Productivity
  • Establish campaigns with Sales Force to identify potential opportunities
  • Detailed analysis of the installed base , screening and plan strategy to focus on those identified potential opportunities
  • Identify outages by quarter, technology, customer buying behavior and prepare an action plan to proactive develop repair sales opportunities

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
  • At least 5 additional years of experience in a field leadership role in service or project management

Desired Characteristics:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering is preferred
  • Prior experience in leadership of company compliance, employee health/safety and protection of the environment is preferred
  • Prior experience in a financial background with P&L experience is preferred
  • Strong customer service orientation and extensive customer interface experience
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment
  • Six Sigma training is preferred Knowledge of O&M financial operations with ability to control cost margins levels within financial targets of the business.
  • Ability to work with customers meeting commercial contractual terms within the in the terms of the contract
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
