Role Summary: The Lead Project Management Specialist will be responsible for project delivery, profit and loss accountability, and customer satisfaction through management of GE Automation and Control projects, both new and retrofit control system upgrades for power generation rotating equipment (turbines and generators) as well as balance of plant and DCS systems.
As the Lead Project Manager, you will:
Be responsible for all activities related to the supervision, organization and execution of a service project, including scope, time, contract (if not covered by a dedicated Contract Manager) cost & quality management
Be responsible for project methodologies and standards including scheduling and control, to fulfill a customer order or need according to financial/commercial parameters and ensuring customer satisfaction
Develop a year plan for its own department
Be involved in discussions with other functions and teams about improvement in processes, procedures and ways of working
Contribute to plan of larger unit
Communicate across direct organization
Present to senior leaders (EB and SEB) in specific technical space and on cross functional teams on how technologies interconnect and contribute to overall strategy
Work with diverse clients in a region
Follow framework to get through processes
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Services)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to influence others and lead small teams
Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
Effective problem identification and solution skills
Proven analytical and organizational ability
PMP Certification</li><li>Master's Degree
Practical knowledge of GE and/or Alstom products (e.g., MarkV, MarkVI and MarkVIe, Alspa 5/6, P320, etc…)
SAP/PMx Enterprise Software experience
