Role Summary:
Works on multiple projects as a project leader or internal consultant. Works on highly complex projects that require in-depth domain knowledge or two or more specialized architecture areas.

Essential Responsibilities:
In this role, you will: 
  • Act as the agent of the Chief Software Architect for technical decisions related to the NPI process for Brilliant Manufacturing. 
  • Closely aligned with product architects to steer technical approach to work for contribution teams 
  • Engage with Partners, ISVs and GE Business Units to perform the NPI technical evaluation for the solutions created by them. Determine architecture fit of these application and identify gaps/ tech debts to be remediated enroute to becoming a product. 
  • Lead as technical thought leader for co-development and contribution
  • Contribute to the development of software and data delivery platforms that are service-oriented with reusable components across teams (multiple teams) that can be orchestrated together into different methods for different businesses.
  • Research and evaluate emerging technology, industry and market trends to assist in project development and/or operational support activities for multiple teams or complex scenarios.
  • Review and/or analyze and develop architectural at domain level and across multiple teams. 
  • Experience in architecture building enterprise SaaS products


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) 
  • A minimum of 12 years of technical experience along with established leadership credentials across product lines 

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.  GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills 
  • Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in San Ramon, CA

Technical Expertise:

  • Reviews and/or analyzes architectural requirements at domain level, aligning architectural requirements with software development strategy.
  • Experience or exposure to IOT/Industrial Internet. 
  • Experience in architecture of scalable, low latency cloud based systems.

  • Demonstrate detailed knowledge of business operations and strategic direction. 
  • Create analyze and manage projects that provide direct business benefit 
  • Understand industry trends and competitive landscape and the implications for your GE business.
  • Partner with business leaders to align projects with business goals and needs.
