The deal will be subject to customary closing conditions such as regulatory review and appropriate consultation and we expect this to be complete by mid-2017. Role Summary: This Fleet Program Leader is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective use of 2,400 company-owned and/or leased vehicles. From acquisition to disposal the Fleet Program Leader will manage asset and driver components.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Fleet Program Leader, you will:
Execute policy adjustments, collaboratively, to maximize the fleet’s efficiency and profitability
Negotiate supplier agreements and CAP agreements with OEM’s
Performance manage key supplier relationships
Execute change opportunities, program innovations, and new services
Execute compliance initiatives to ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local laws
Capture cost savings, cost avoidance and improvement opportunities
Lead quarterly or semi-annual fleet reviews with business units
Establish KPI’s for total cost of ownership metrics
Develop technical knowledge of the fleet to insure proper use of current and new technologies for delivery and operating efficiencies
Create and analyze vehicle & equipment costs and exception reports
Control process, spend, and budget for maintenance scheduling, replacement cycling, purchasing (including specification decisions), vehicle assignment and make recommendations for improvements to management
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a Logistics or Operations role)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Logistics or Operations
Experience managing third party supplier interactions including sourcing and contract management
Experience creating and analyzing KPIs
Lean / Six Sigma process improvement methodologies, or equivalent quality training
Understanding of basic fleet management principles / practices
Demonstrated understanding of Department of Transportation rules / regulations
Skilled in fostering fleet management supplier relationships
Ability to analyze, evaluate, improve and document processes and procedures
Ability to maintain focus in an environment subject to constant change and tight deadlines
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and SAP
Strong oral and written communications
Demonstrated analytical skills and ability to solve problems with creative ideas
Negotiation and influence skills
Organizational and prioritization skills
Project management experience
