Essential Responsibilities: GE Energy Management Services, LLC seeks Power Systems Engineer (multiple positions) in Melbourne, Florida to provide design, coding, and testing for domestic and international customers in application software area. Identify technical direction for assigned product line, and review architecture and design proposals for developments outside assigned product line. Oversee prototyping and piloting of solutions. Conduct profiling of code and analysis of performance. Develop software and technical standards consistent with company quality standards. Assist customers with troubleshooting problems related to operation of mission critical, real-time systems. Write test procedures, complete Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and support system cutover. Provide technical assistance with cost estimate quotations and technical proposals. Perform hands-on remote and on-site support for test procedures, FAT, and system cutover. Interface with Product Development team to provide customer requirements to grow the business base line.
Qualifications/Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Electrical Engineering with related coursework in Power Systems or Power Analysis. Position also requires 1 year of experience with load flow analysis, power systems operation and control, and computer programming.
