Role Summary:
The Technical Product Owner for Finance will be accountable for all aspects (planning, forecasting, production) of the end-to-end lifecycle of a product. Leverages deep process/domain expertise and partners with technical development team. Influences key stakeholders in design and planning decisions. Drives the development of products that are targeted at a (usually) very technical audience.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Play a role of Technical Product Owner of one or few Financial Products
  • Executes and deliver strategies projects related to product development
  • Partner with and support the Finance team in process improvements and digitization projects
  • Manages project developing strategic solutions to automate Finance and Business Intelligence processes
  • Works closely with the Corporate / Global Operations Finance team to align GEHC solutions strategy with Corporate
  • Develops, sells and implements comprehensive project plans, encompassing project team structure and resource assignment, implementation, testing and training plans, creation of a control plan identifying both business process metrics and IT platform quality requirements and ensuring successful transition to support and maintenance teams
  • Owns all project risk; including time, budget, and scope, and the associated plans to contain and/or mitigate risk
  • Identifies critical path decisions, makes recommendations and influences program leaders and business process owners to maximize project payback
  • Identify critical path decisions; make recommendations, and influence leaders and process owners for design-related activities.
  • Lead global teams and third party vendors developing best practices and standard solutions.
  • Develop To-Be configuration requirements
  • Participate in all process design and information discovery efforts

  • BS Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical discipline
  • Strong IT and project management experience, leading projects for Finance is a Must
  • Demonstrable knowledge of business reporting software and processes for Business Intelligence
  • Ability to explain likely key business metrics for finance reporting
  • Experience with process quality methodology
  • Demonstrated project management skills including project initiation, scoping, resourcing, scheduling, budgeting, risk management and communication
  • Project management experience in global environments on Finance projects
  • Awareness of and ability to deliver compliance requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interface and influence at all levels in the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a global matrix organization
  • Strong leadership skills, analytic, creative and business focused problem solver
