Role Summary:
The purpose of the Commercial Leader, Renewables role is to develop commercial positions, internally and with our customers, that facilitate closing profitable and executable orders for the supply, installation and long-term operation of wind turbines and associated equipment on wind farm projects. This role has a focus on the ASEAN region market which principally covers South East Asia, although it will also support developing markets within the wider regional business from time to time.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Develop winning strategies to close profitable and executable orders for the highly competitive
• Onshore Wind segment of the Renewables Business.
• Mobilise and lead multifunctional and global support teams to implement transaction strategy on complex, multi-million dollar transactions. Internal functions
coordinated in this process include Application Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Finance, Legal, EHS, Project Delivery and Service.
• Lead the preparation and submission of firm bids, contract negotiations, and finalisation of contract
• documentation to achieve financial close and order intake.
• Manage handover from Inquiry to Order (ITO) phase to Order to Remittance (OTR) phase, including coordination of EPC project bidding and delivery consortia
comprising GE and balance of plant construction contractors.
• Provide commercial support to the Renewables Sales team for budgetary proposals and studies during opportunity development.
• Provide technical, profitability, and commercial inputs to support the Risk Management processes (R0-R1-R2-R3) for transactions.
• Support achievement of Commercial Team metrics related to proposal transactions.

• Degree qualification in Engineering, Law or a relevant commercial discipline. Postgraduate degree in addition is preferred, for example MBA.
• Proven commercial experience with thermal or wind power plant products.
• Demonstrated experience in bid preparation and contract negotiation for turnkey (EPC) or similar scope power plant projects, ideally in wind energy.
• Demonstrated experience in project management and execution for thermal or renewable power plant projects, including an understanding of construction and
operational issues associated with these types of projects.
• Ability to take the lead in negotiations, understand relevant technical issues, deploy effective problem-solving skills and exercise sound commercial initiative
and judgement.
• Highly motivated team player, self-starter with strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated evidence of successful commercial performance in an international matrix management structure.
• Ability to perform effectively in a non-hierarchical, team type environment.
• Ability to travel as required in the ASEAN region and more widely from time to time.
• Fluency in English.

Desired Characteristics:
Experience in customer relationship management, order process management and use of risk management/compliance systems would be highly regarded.
