Role Summary:
The internship is a semester long, part-time program in GE’s Washington, DC office. We are seeking candidates with a variety of backgrounds including business, economics, and international affairs. Relocation assistance or housing allowance is not offered for this position.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Researching international finance policies relevant to U.S. government agencies including the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) and the U.S. Export-Import Bank (Ex Im Bank)
  • Creating and editing presentation and briefing materials for the Global Capital Markets team
  • Assisting GE Capital Market experts on various initiatives related to international export credit agencies, development financial institutions, and relevant transactions
  • Assisting office administrative functions as necessary

    Qualifications/Requirements:
    Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Rising junior or senior undergraduate student in related studies (ex: Finance, International Business, International Affairs, Public Policy, etc.)


    Eligibility Requirements:

  • Fall, part-time internship (15-20 hours/week)
  • Relocation assistance or housing allowance is not offered for this position

    Desired Characteristics:
    Major in Finance, International Business, International Affairs or Public Policy is preferred
  • Strong academic and professional credentials
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong research and written communication skills
  • Self
  • starter and strong work ethic
  • Preferred candidates also will possess international experience, foreign language skills, or an interest in international finance
