Role Summary: The Welder will work at the Erlanger, KY Service Center to manufacture large scale, power generation equipment along with their sub-assemblies by following blueprints and specific work instructions.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Welder, you will:
Join, fabricate, and weld to engineering drawings along with written and verbal instructions
Follow step by step work instructions for fabricating any product or component
Be responsible for producing high quality work and craftsmaship for holding tight tolerances to fixtures and engineered drawings
Use a variety of measuring devices, blueprints and work instructions
Have the ability to set up weld equipment
High School Diploma / GED
Minimum of 2 years of experience with Flux Core / MIG Weld according to AWS D1.1. including a minimum of 2 years reading and comprehending engineered manufacturing drawings
Ability and willingness to work 2nd shift
Ability and willingness to work overtime, various shifts, holidays and weekends, as required
Ability and willingness to wear personal protective equipment
Ability to calculate figures, basic math and understanding of measuring and metrics
Ability to follow work rules, carry out instructions either written, oral, or diagram form
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Ability to TIG Weld according to ASME Section IX
