Role Summary:
The Technology Program Leader is responsible for leading new technology / product development teams and for the overall direction, execution and completion of assigned projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals, while following GE Water & Process Technology’s established procedures. Additionally, the Program Leader will serve as a resource in the identification of new monitoring and control technologies to solve of customer’s most challenging problems.

Essential Responsibilities:
As the Technology Program Manager, you will:

  • Proactively work with Commercial and Product Management teams and provide technical expertise in the identification, evaluation and selection of new internal and external technologies to meet monitoring and control needs
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, seeking input from all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technology
  • Develop detailed project plans to monitor and track progress, managing changes to the scope, schedule and costs, ensuring projects are delivered on-time and budget
  • Coordinate internal and third parties / vendors resources for the efficient execution of projects
  • Direct and support project teams through the multiple phases of the product life cycle process
  • Lead technical risk management activities utilizing FastWorks methodologies
  • Build strong relationships with Product Management, Commercial Operations, Product Applications and Technology teams
  • Manage all stakeholder relationships through continuous communication of status and escalate to management as needed
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Engage Product Safety and Product Security teams to ensure all requirements are fulfilled
  • Maintain broad awareness of efforts within group to assure technical quality excellence, timely completion of work and reviews, appropriate use of resources, and responsiveness to customer / program needs
  • Facilitate communication of technical and business information between organizations and within work group
  • Communicate with management on technical, organizational, resource and issues
  • Define roles and responsibilities for assigned personnel


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or a related science discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in new product development
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with sensors/monitors, controllers or chemical feed equipment


Desired Characteristics:
  • Proven working experience in project management for projects involving complex, multidisciplinary efforts
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking capabilities
  • Strong client-facing and internal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven experience in risk management
  • Proven experience in people management with demonstrated experience in influencing, leading and conflict management
  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in instrumentation and hardware development
  • Experience in industrial water (cooling, boiler, waste), refining and/or upstream hydrocarbon processing market segments
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to influence others and lead small teams
  • Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact
  • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
  • Effective problem identification and solution skills
  • Proven analytical and organizational ability
  • PLEASE NOTE: Trevose, PA is the preferred location however, other U.S. locations may be considered.
