Role Summary:
The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) intern is responsible to support project development at suppliers, manufacturing issues correction plans and metrics management with moderate risk of complexity. As an SQE intern, you will have interface with suppliers and many internal areas (sourcing, engineering, project office, quality, process and manufacturing), not only in Brazil but also in USA.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support and action speed to drive cooperation between GE and supplier base
  • Act as the technical focal point for supplier activities related with continuous improvement , root cause analysis and containment/corrective plans
  • Work closely with the Supplier Quality Engineer to support documentation analysis and PPAP process management
  • Work closely with the manufacturing quality team to address imported parts' issues and metrics evaluation
  • Work closely with sourcing, engineering and project's office teams to support new project development and innovation initiatives
  • Drive operational rhythm on the team regarding corrective actions and internal processes flow's cycle time
  • Manage the quality audits schedule and execution findings on the system with continuous communication with the global team
  • Help the team to address risk analysis on suppliers performance based on metrics / project and routine interface


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Engineering graduation in progress - 5th to 7th semester
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal and people integration skills
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • MS Office - advanced level
  • Fluency in English


Desired Characteristics:
  • Technician degree
  • Previous experience on industry/engineering environment
  • Quality and project management tools knowledge
