Responsible for designing, developing and testing software to create industrial internet products and services tailored to the needs of GE Aviation and external customers. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, data science, and operational teams to on existing and new platforms.
Specifically the Front End Developer will work with the customer, product owner, UX (User Experience) designer, and development team to implement user interfaces.
Deliver high performing, scaling, and innovative software
Collaborate with system engineers, front end engineers, and other software engineers to implement solutions that are aligned with and extend shared platforms and solutions
Understand performance parameters and assess application performance
Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies such as Lean/Agile, software and product security, scalability, documentation practices, refactoring, and testing techniques
Ensure conformance to GE Aviation software methods, standards, and practices
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
A minimum of 2 years of professional experience

Experience and knowledge in UX / IA / Web & mobile design and front end development
Experience working with Polymer
Working knowledge of Responsive Design concepts and frameworks
Exposure to an Agile environment.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Strong problem solving skills.
