Role Summary: The Fabricator - 2nd Shift will work from blueprints to layout, cut, scarf, and tack all types of light and heavy assemblies, for welding or machining
Essential Responsibilities: In the role of Fabricator - 2nd Shift you will:
Line up before tacking can run to 1/64" by rule or square, cutting tolerances according to the drawings; quality of welding to Dresser specifications
Plan and perform work to meet drawings and Dresser specifications
Be alert at all times
Equipment and tools: Arc Welding machine and line, cutting torch and tanks, hammer, chisel, square, hydraulic press, hydraulic band saw, and radiograph
Weld all assemblies that have been tack welded
Strength weld- requiring a flat head with good appearance
Pressure weld to Dresser Standards of built up woven bead with penetration
Hard surfacing of tool steel dies
Weld malleable and cast iron
Comply with all requirements of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
High School diploma or GED from an accredited school or institution
Minimum of 1 year of welding experience or welding technical school completion
Work 2nd Shift
Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required
Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time
