Role Summary:
The Lead Engineer - Waste Water will be responsible for providing wastewater technical expertise and supporting new product initiatives to assist the commercial teams in maintaining and growing wastewater business profitably.

Essential Responsibilities:
As the Lead Engineer - Waste Water, you will:

  • Provide advanced technical support on wastewater systems and programs at key customer sites
  • Develop action plans and drive execution to solve the toughest technical problems
  • Work closely with the commercial team in responding to RFQ’s
  • Design / optimize treatment programs and trials and develop documentation to support and justify recommendations
  • Conduct regular and advanced wastewater technical training sessions with the commercial team; attend/support customer meetings / seminars and present technical information
  • Work closely with Product Management, Technology, Commercial teams, customers, and industry contacts to support, and drive new business initiatives and new product launches
  • Lead remote teams, directing local on-site personnel for specific information gathering
  • Willing and able to lead Fastworks projects on new product/technology / tool development
  • Assist in shaping the direction of the product line by providing experience based insights, ideas, suggestions, and data driven opinions
  • Develop and conduct technical and marketing surveys in support of product line related improvement initiatives
  • Participate in cross functional teams to asses and/or respond to new industry developments, competitive offerings, new chemical treatment, and automation technologies; work with product management to develop and execute appropriate action plans and communications
  • Support or lead new product initiative (NPI) and direct material productivity improvement (DMP) teams as requested
  • Act as a technical expert in wastewater treatment of refineries, petrochemical plants, power plants, and food & beverage facilities
  • Create technical content for case histories, best practice documents, customer facing technical advisories, reference manuals, and industry playbooks
  • Participate in industry technical conferences and committees to properly represent the company’s position on key wastewater water related issues
  • Communicate the company’s advantages and knowledge through internal and external publications, conferences, and presentations


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, science, or other technical discipline (Chemical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering or Chemistry)
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial experience in chemical applications for wastewater systems
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically a minimum of 25%, as required



Desired Characteristics:
  • Deep domain knowledge in at least one or two major industries
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable developing and delivering high-level technical presentations internally and externally
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and transfer technical knowledge to others
  • Strong organizational, analytical and project management skills
  • Capable of handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing to meet business objectives
  • Ability to work on or lead a cross-functional team and deliver results
  • Self-starter with “can-do” attitude and minimal supervision
  • PLEASE NOTE: Trevose, PA is the preferred location, however, other U.S. locations may be considered.
