Role Summary:
GE Aviation is looking for talent to join the next class of the Asheville, NC Machinist Apprentice Program

Essential Responsibilities:

In this role, you will :


  • Work in a dynamic, fast paced work environment producing rotating jet engine components
  • Work and be a part of a curriculum consisting of manufacturing assignments and classroom training
  • Attend classes to complete a Computer Integrated Machining Diploma

    Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Working towards or completion of a High School Diploma / GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of higher-level math (i.e. algebra and geometry) coursework

    ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :


  • Ability and willingness to earn a certificate of completion in the registered 4 year apprentice program with the state of North Carolina (which will include taking college courses over the 4 years to obtain a Computer Integrated Machining Diploma)

    Desired Characteristics:

  • Vo-tech training, machining skills, and / or prior college course work in Math and Science
  • Minimum of 2 years of higher-level math (i.e. algebra and geometry) coursework with a grade of B or better average
  • Minimum of 1 year of higher-level science coursework with a grade of B or better average
