Role Summary: GE Aviation is looking for talent to join the next class of the Asheville, NC Machinist Apprentice Program
In this role, you will :
Work in a dynamic, fast paced work environment producing rotating jet engine components
Work and be a part of a curriculum consisting of manufacturing assignments and classroom training
Attend classes to complete a Computer Integrated Machining Diploma
Working towards or completion of a High School Diploma / GED
Minimum of 2 years of higher-level math (i.e. algebra and geometry) coursework
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :
Ability and willingness to earn a certificate of completion in the registered 4 year apprentice program with the state of North Carolina (which will include taking college courses over the 4 years to obtain a Computer Integrated Machining Diploma)
Vo-tech training, machining skills, and / or prior college course work in Math and Science
Minimum of 2 years of higher-level math (i.e. algebra and geometry) coursework with a grade of B or better average
Minimum of 1 year of higher-level science coursework with a grade of B or better average
