Role Summary: In this role, you will follow an individual work plan, meet day to- day short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
Essential Responsibilities: In the role of Inventory Control you will:
Process ownership validation utilizing guidelines set by Sales and Customers
Ensure shipments are accurate and meet critical deadlines
Prepare and package shipments for ground, air or ocean shipments
Ensure all shipping paperwork is submitted and correct (i.e. dangerous goods declaration, export declaration, etc.)
Ensure adherence to Department of Transportation / Occupational Safety & Health Administration / Department of Labor regulations
Perform shipping and receiving transactions in GE Oracle database
Perform inventory cycle counts
Load and unload equipment / parts from trucks
Maintain shipping and receiving logs
Schedule freight pick ups
Attach Bill of Lading’s (OL) to Oracle orders
Perform forklift operations, as required, for assigned duties
Troubleshoot serial number, equipment description and part number inaccuracies
High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory control or inventory management in Oil and Gas environment , exploration company or industrial manufacturing environment
Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required
Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time
