Role Summary: We are seeking a data-driven marketing intelligence and business analytics storyteller professional to help measure the impact of Current’s business and marketing investments and drive actionable insights for the organization. This professional connects data from multiple sources to provide insightful and actionable analyses, reports, and dashboards that drive key business decisions.
The Digital Analytics & Insights Marketing Manager will be responsible for proactively managing datasets from various sources and online tactics to measure business, operational, product and marketing effectiveness and create actionable insights that help drive decision-making in support of the company’s business objectives and goals in a highly visible and strategically important role to deliver insights that inform business strategies and develop deeper understanding of our customer, markets and business execution and performance.
As the Digital Analytics & Insights Marketing Manager, you will:
Translate raw data and align reporting and metrics to overall business strategy to generate compelling insights and measurable KPIs at the strategic, business unit, product and marketing campaign levels
Synthesize multiple qualitative and quantitative big data sets to form clear, well-supported, data-driven recommendations for non-technical audiences and present results to cross-functional teams
Effectively communicate complex concepts at an executive level and develop data-driven stories and executive presentations using PowerPoint, dashboards and infographics
Gather business requirements and collaborate across marketing, sales, finance and product teams to design and develop interactive data visualizations and regular reports in tools such as Tableau and Salesforce
Develop and measure the impact of KPIs to help inform business decisions and marketing investments
Measure the impact of marketing and other business investments, identify growth opportunities and present key learnings to inform business decisions
Evaluate competitive marketing penetration
Analyze competitors and share key insights with Executive Management
Operationalize reports and dashboards that consolidate performance metrics across digital (web, online, social) and other market channel initiatives
Own data accuracy with continuous identification and improvement plan
Partner with IT, sales, business operations and marketing to guide relationships between complex datasets (e.g. Salesforce)
Synthesize complex qualitative and quantitative data to form clear, well-supported, data-driven recommendations and present results to leadership team
Collaborate with strategy and market research on key initiatives (e.g. segmentation, value proposition, and customer research)
Advance analytics maturity within the firm by counseling stakeholders on how to extract value from data and make data-driven decisions to improve business and marketing activities
Undergraduate degree from an accredited University or College
Minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing analytics with experience leveraging analytics to influence decision making
Undergraduate degree from an accredited University or College (with preference to business, marketing, data science or related discipline)
Master’s degree from an accredited University or college a plus
CLP graduates considered
Experience with various analytics and aggregate platforms such as Google Analytics, Marketo or relevant CRM, Salesforce.com
Experience working in a start-up or entrepreneurial environment
Experience working on digital analytics strategies across channels, including owned & paid channels, SEO, and marketing automation
Ability to work in a matrixed, complex organization with a virtual team
Data mining and data analysis skills with the ability to clearly present complex information in a simple manner, discern business meaning and recommended actions to stakeholders
Mastery level Excel skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong knowledge of data analytics and visualization tools (Tableau required)
Outstanding project management skills; Ability to prioritize and manage client expectations across multiple projects
Ability to manage to aggressive deadlines while staying true to strategic outcomes
Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
Thorough understanding of B2B marketing processes
Deep understanding in one or more marketing channels (e.g. web, mobile, display, search)
Strong data analysis skills including data validation, ROI analysis, and the ability to spot trends and drive ideas forward
Ability to translate vision / mission of an organization into actionable, quantitative plans
Consistent and successful track record of performance
Ability to understand and communicate complex issues clearly and accurately
Superior oral / presentation and written communication skills; highly articulate and ability to make key points in direct and compelling manner to ensure fast cross-functional decision making and proactive communication
