This role is responsible for all aspects of 24/7 site operations and team leadership of a direct engineering and contract workforce. Managing the site to achieve environmental health and safety, information technology, software development, and aeronautical information management goals the successful candidate will have demonstrated an ability to continuously improve the efficiency of delivery processes and instill a culture of safety, and best-practice sharing.
This position works across multiple organizations, internally, externally, and within regulatory agencies, and partners to accomplish the following:
Create, lead, engage with and direct a workforce to drive enhanced performance with a focus on the safety of our people and products.
Drive talent development, employee engagement, succession planning, and training.
Plan and deploy 24/7 business processes, subcontract labor, facilities, software and equipment resources to meet and exceed internal and external service levels.
Develop and maintain a strong culture of Environmental Health and Safety practices and initiatives including ensuring effective monitoring, auditing and reviewing of practices on site.
Establish and deploy processes to support the production, delivery, and maintenance of software tools.
Participate in leadership activities, including development of the operating plan, objectives, and budget.
Is accountable to the Chief Designer for meeting the safety, operational, and functional requirements associated with assigned tools, process, and resources.
Has the deep understanding required to balance priorities of their own time (spread themselves between tactical & strategic).
Leverages his/her technical depth and broader business understanding to coach and develop the technical leaders that report to them.
Provides coaching, feedback, developmental opportunities, etc. to direct/indirect reports within a broader team.
Bachelor’s Degree in math, physics, civil, geospatial, computer science, software, or aeronautical engineering or equivalent experience. Master's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of technical experience.

10 or more years’ experience in the production of knowledge-intensive, technology-focused products or services in addition to general operations experience.
Demonstrated capacity to manage complex design and/or engineering projects, preferably in civil, aeronautical, software, or mechanical engineering disciplines.
Demonstrated resourcefulness reflecting the entrepreneurial spirit of the business, who delegates effectively and inspires others to perform their best. This person must be willing to make timely decisions and exhibits sound and accurate judgment. Outstanding written and oral communications skills are required, as is familiarity with current software and technology.
Background and experience working with domestic and international regulatory agencies, ANSPs, airport authorities and airline operators to design and implement RNP instrument flight procedures and operations.
