Role Summary: This position will be responsible for leading the Drilling Engineering sub-section responsible for the design and lifecycle of Elastomer products. This role additionally provides technical leadership for the materials, welding and designer engineering teams to insure they deliver on cost, quality, schedule and technical goals. The role will have oversight and accountability to integrate the Digital Thread.
Essential Responsibilities: In the role of Seals, Materials & Design COE Engineering Manager you will:
Provide technical vision for the team to develop and innovate competitive products
Be responsible for establishing the technical requirements, objectives, timing, resources and funding required and assuring conformance to standards and specifications
In concert with Oilfield Equipment engineering leaders, establish a multi-generational technology plan for Elastomers within the Drilling product lines.
Build a center of excellence team for elastomers inclusive of world-domain expertise, hyper elastic modeling and seal engineering
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to manufacture and source best in class elastomer products
Maintain an active role in developing and defining state of the art in polymer materials to anticipate, apply, adapt or develop technologies for product introduction, quality and performance criteria to meet current and future demands
Provide leadership and technical direction to materials and welding COE teams to meet specific product objectives
Provide optimum level materials and welding expertise support across Oilfield Equipment product companies prioritizing business objectives.
Support the continued partnership and alignment for the Oracle Platform, PLM evolution, ERP to Team Center and existing engineering software tools
Leverage our design capacity to promote development and standardization of processes and procedures for modeling, MBE and PLM; adopts the relative practices that will provide the foundation for the Digital Thread initiative; manage designer pool team
Develop influential relationships with assigned customers at all levels, and provide specific engineering strategies, credibility, plans and actions that differentiate us from our competitors
Manage resources in team (priorities, PD, G&Os, coaching, etc.)

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
Minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering leadership role
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Materials Science Engineering from an accredited college or university, preferably
Master’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration from an accredited college or university
Oil & Gas Industry Engineering experience
Materials and Elastomer Engineering experience
Strong leadership, process and facilitation skills
Persistence and ability to maintain an uncompromising balance with thoroughness and a quick-to-action style of execution and accountability
Demonstrated capability to constructively partner and drive alignment across multiple matrix organizations and customers
Outstanding influencing, communication and presentation skills, especially when facing customers
