Using a variety of hand & power tools, fixtures, work instructions and testing equipment this position will perform diverse operations to assemble and test lighting products. This role will perform all assigned tasks in the manufacturing process.
In addition you will :
Assemble products, including all required preparation and sub-assembly work, to the highest quality standards using approved manufacturing procedures
After training, must be able to perform in every position and keep up with the expected average pace of the line
Manipulate and read MES screen
Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Production Supervisor, Line or Area Lead, Operations Leader or other appropriate personnel
Observe all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) rules and practice safe work habits
Report unsafe conditions to EHS Leader, Line or Area Lead, Production Supervisor, Operations Leader or other appropriate personnel
Support ergonomic and safety goals and objectives by actively participating in daily stretching periods and any other ergonomic and safety programs implemented by company
Perform in-process inspection of materials to assure conformance with specifications
Assist in the development of processes to improve product quality and production efficiency
Work in a cooperative and communicative manner to meet individual and team objectives and to maximize productivity and efficiency
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Perform additional duties as assigned in support of departmental and company goals and objectives
High School Diploma / GED or equivalent experience
Experience using hand and power tools such as power drills, wire cutters, etc.
Ability to read and manipulate MES screen
Ability to work efficiently in any production position assigned to after training
Ability to work quickly and accurately
Ability to perform repetitive tasks without losing focus
Ability to work cooperatively and to communicate effectively
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :
Ability to lift, push or pull up to 30 lbs.
Ability to stand for long periods of time
Ability to work to standard operating procedures
Ability and willingness to work 2nd shift and to work flexible shifts as needed
Ability and willingness to work overtime and weekends as required by production demands
LED light fixture assembly experience
A minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment
