Role Summary: The Customer Support Engineer (CPE) will be responsible for Spicejet – Q400 program management In addition, the role will also include responsibility for the Propeller shop based at Hyderabad Airport.
Essential Responsibilities: Program management responsibilities inclusive of: Managing customer expectation and contract requirements Track customer fleet reliability and performance Manage Spicejet/Dowty Propeller workshop
Perform certification release for equipment maintained. Perform OJT – On Job Training- in accordance with technical instructions. Perform classroom training with technical instructions. Provide general technical direction and assistance to the customer in the operation, Maintenance, repair, logistic support, and installation of GE products Provide maintenance data interpretation and technical instruction Provide Project Engineering, Program Management and Field Service management with complete and prompt information regarding status of programs, customer problems, failures, trends, and climate Provide communication to Product team, supply chain and commercial team regarding all program activities and problems through regular, timely reports Responsible for reports, including; obtaining, interpreting, and communicating significant market intelligence and sales opportunities for both assigned programs and support Assist customer in scheduling maintenance and workload Assist and ensure parts meet established schedules Review reported malfunctions and identify / analyze any undesirable trends Review effectiveness of maintenance actions in order to identify training needs
Perform on-site propeller maintenance inclusive of: repairs, modification, installation and preventative maintenance. Work scope includes both On Wing and Off Wing repairs. Work scope includes: Full strip and rebuild of Propeller units to individual piece part Production Acceptance testing of repaired propeller units Static Balance of Propeller Units Propeller blade repairs (Composite repairs and metallic repairs) Advising/Training on Wing maintainance and repairing propeller systems Full certification release of maintained equipment Completion of associated documentation (Fault reports, Log books) Maintenance and calibration support of Ground Support Equipment Non Destructive testing for inspection purposes- Metallic and composite parts
Qualifications/Requirements: Must have a minimum of Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED or Engineering Apprenticeship Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in a field service or maintenance position
