Role Summary:
The Boiler Service Specialist will work as a technician as part of team conducting specialty on site boiler services.



Essential Responsibilities:
As the Boiler Service Specialist, you will:

  • Perform process-oriented work required to produce special purpose materials from raw materials and apply them to boiler surfaces which will include machining and measurements
  • Perform process-oriented work required to clean power plant equipment
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot all major equipment within the area and work with other team members in the performance of normal operations
  • Provide process diagnosis and aid in establishing process improvements for long term process cost control and quality growth
  • Be responsible for some operations that may require respirators and/or other devices for the safeguard of operator health and incumbents must be willing to undertake these operations and follow all established work practices
  • Be responsible for specific equipment and operational details that are sensitive and not to be discussed except with accepted applicants
  • Have the ability to maintain records and perform related duties


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working in power plant environment including a minimum of 3 years of experience in setting up and operating all types of boiler service equipment


Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience with thermal spray technology
  • Experience with boiler cleaning processes
