Role Summary: The Boiler Service Specialist will work as a technician as part of team conducting specialty on site boiler services.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Boiler Service Specialist, you will:
Perform process-oriented work required to produce special purpose materials from raw materials and apply them to boiler surfaces which will include machining and measurements
Perform process-oriented work required to clean power plant equipment
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot all major equipment within the area and work with other team members in the performance of normal operations
Provide process diagnosis and aid in establishing process improvements for long term process cost control and quality growth
Be responsible for some operations that may require respirators and/or other devices for the safeguard of operator health and incumbents must be willing to undertake these operations and follow all established work practices
Be responsible for specific equipment and operational details that are sensitive and not to be discussed except with accepted applicants
Have the ability to maintain records and perform related duties
High School Diploma / GED
Minimum of 3 years of experience working in power plant environment including a minimum of 3 years of experience in setting up and operating all types of boiler service equipment
Experience with thermal spray technology
Experience with boiler cleaning processes
