Role Summary:
We are seeking a Tandem Operator with Class B CDL for their Service Center Denver City TX. The Tandem Operator is responsible to ensure the safe and compliant operation of Boom Truck and maintenance.

Essential Responsibilities:
In the role of Tandem Operator you will:

  • Reviews and signs the last daily vehicle inspection report (DVIR) and conducts daily truck pre-trip inspections (i.e. tires, oil, brakes, water, lighting, horn, wipers, mirrors, fuel, etc.)
  • Reports any issues with truck by communicating with Supervisor for immediate repair or completes DVIR for less minor repairs
  • Conducts daily inspection and completes proper paperwork
  • Reviews what product is loaded on truck to ensure proper delivery of products; Ensures that he / she understands delivery instructions
  • Secures loads by utilizing chains, binders, straps, slings, etc. to ensure that product/loads are safely secured to transport. Ensure that proper tie down technique is used to safeguard product and ensure road safety
  • Supervise and assist employees on the crew
  • Ensures that he/she has all proper safety equipment (i.e. – hard hat, gloves, safety shoes, vests, safety glasses, fire extinguisher, spill kit, accident kit, etc.)
  • Ensures that truck and products do not exceed the maximum weight limits for transport
  • Ensures that area is safe to properly off load product and the surrounding area is secure and does not pose any safety hazards
  • Maintains travel logs to ensure that company and driver is in compliance with DOT guidelines
  • Understands and is fully aware of all DOT guidelines and adheres to such regulations
  • Ensures that truck is always clean and cab area is organized
  • Cleans work areas daily to ensure work environment is safe and organized
  • Ability to safely deploy to remote geographic assignment locations – onshore and offshore locations with limited access to medical care, which may require 4 hours (or more) travel time to reach secondary level medical care

    Qualifications/Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Tandem
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in Pumping Units

    Eligibility Requirements

  • Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
  • Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
  • Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required
  • Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time
  • Possess a valid Class B CDL
  • To the extent that you are applying for a position that requires you to operate a GE owned / leased or rented vehicle for company business, you must be willing to submit to a check of your driving record
  • Work outside in various conditions and weather
  • Be able to safely deploy to remote geographic assignment locations – onshore and offshore locations with limited access to medical care, which may require 4 hours (or more) travel time to reach secondary level medical care
  • Undergo Periodic fitness for duty tests, examinations, and/or certifications will be required for onshore/offshore remote location assignments

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Must be knowledgeable in bearing work, loading , unloading and setting pump jacks
  • Having knowledge working with pumping units
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Experienced Tandem Winch Truck Operator
