Role Summary: Responsible for the design and development of one or more GE Corporate EPM Hyperion platforms supporting Master data Management. Partners with our technical and functional teams to gather business requirements, design and implement solutions consistent with GE’s overall Corporate initiatives strategy, and identify simplification and standardization opportunities.
Act as a primary developer for DRM application development.
Shows deep understanding of key DRM functionalities during design and build phase based upon client requirements, including: chart of accounts design, metadata hierarchies, design/build, reporting, attribute definition, data grid design/build, database administration, etc.
Partners with Corporate Finance functions to define business requirements and translate into technical requirements.
Engage in technical discussions; participate in technical designs and present technical ideas through white boarding.
Work closely with peers and keep engaging in a fast pace technical design and development team.
Execute in a fast pace delivery mode and focus in delivering tasks to meet the product release goal.
Maintain code quality through best practices, unit testing and code quality automation.
Develop peer, cross-functional and cross-GE Business relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Engineering or other technical related fields (OR a minimum 5 years of relevant IT work experience).
Minimum 5 years working with system analysis, design development.
Minimum 3 years of experience in Information Technology delivering high impact technology solutions.
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills.
Extensive knowledge of Oracle, financial systems, financial cycles and processes.
Strong programming and problem solving skills with PL/SQL.
Desired expertise in Hyperion Planning and Essbase.
Experience with Oracle dB, WebLogic, Apache.
Experience and knowledge of Oracle Exalytics infrastructure environment is a plus.
EPM certification a plus.
Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources; has experience working with others on a global basis.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
Proven experience working in environments with on-shore and off-shore team members.
Black Belt or Green Belt Certified (GE Employees Only).
