Role Summary: As Workshop Supervisor you will provide direction and supervision to work group in order to meet assigned objectives. In this role you will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.
Essential Responsibilities: Drive daily schedule attainment to meet all internal and external customer commitments with top quality at the lowest cost, implement a strategy to reduce cycle times, drive VCP, reduce in-process inventory levels, and improve quality, service and safety Drive and promote the GE culture and mentor workshop personnel, to ensure EHS, Quality and Integrity standards are met. Oversee and track the workshop team training requirements to meet QEHS requirements. Accountable for the final formal reports submitted to the customer and updates clients of the status of their assembly, repair or DIFA jobs through written reports. Work with Engineering and Product Service to identify root causes and solve external quality issues while maintain product knowledge as new products are released. Report product defects ensuring these are resolved and report solutions in current CRM database Responsible for ensuring that workshop equipment is maintained and safe for use Independently oversee tests, repair, dismantle, assembly Electric Submersible Pump (ESP) system for motors, protectors, intakes and pumps compliance to applicable procedures and owns the quality and performance of assigned equipment. Independently oversees tests, repair, dismantle, assembly of WellHead equipment and completion strings. Liaise with Operations manager and project leaders to maintain workshop inventory management and Quality Management System (QMS) to meet internal and customer requirements. Other tasks and responsibilities may be assigned as dictated by business needs and as assigned by management
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college and at least 4 years of experience in an Engineering role Previous workshop experience and supervising a team is essential. Strong understanding in either ESP or Wellhead Testing, Assembly or Maintenance. Strong Computer Skills and proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, and Power Point Arabic and English language is preferred
