Role Summary: The Pump Technician/Field Service Technician performs services necessary to install, repair or remove pumping systems at customer's establishment utilizing knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical machinery.
Essential Responsibilities: In the role of Pump Technician / Field Service Technician, you will:
Troubleshoot, install, pull and service all GE and competitor downhole units and all associated surface equipment
Ensure that work is performed in compliance with pertinent regulations and processes, organizational mission, values, policies and work rules
Assemble submersible equipment and wellhead and supervise and assist the subsequent installation of tubing and banding of cable
Periodically check system electrical integrity during installation to maintain system integrity
Make field repairs to equipment and cable and recommends appropriate action to the customer to provide an accurate analysis
Perform and record checks on installed units at the well site, checking amperage and pump performance
Be able to safely deploy to remote geographic assignment locations – onshore and offshore locations with limited access to medical care, which may require 4 hours (or more) travel time to reach secondary level medical care
High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
Minimum 3 years of experience in ESP, oilfield electrical and/or mechanical experience
Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
Be in a field truck on location for 12 hours a day
Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time
Undergo Periodic fitness for duty tests, examinations, and/or certifications will be required for onshore / offshore remote location assignments
Possess a valid drivers license
