Role Summary:
The Plant Manager demonstrates accountability for ensuring efficient, timely and cost effective manufacturing and delivery of high quality products, in a lean driven environment. The Plant Manager will drive the strategic planning of the organization, will foster a culture of continuous improvement and will develop strong relationships at all levels of the organization.

Essential Responsibilities:
The Plant Manager will set the overall vision for the plant, lead change, drive execution and maintain a culture that prioritizes customer satisfaction, safety and the highest quality.

In the role of Plant Manager you will:

  • Direct all activities in the Shawnee plant to manufacture and deliver Pressure Control equipment to customers
  • Be responsible for all site and facility activities
  • Provide HSE leadership by driving 5S housekeeping, health & safety framework score improvement, training completion, audit item closure, and HSE culture
  • Drive on-time shipments to 95%+ and inventory to meet goals
  • Lead cost out deck execution to deliver plant cost / hour goals
  • Implement a cell-based organizational structure for the Shawnee factory and develop leadership and technical expertise
  • Promote the use of Shainin and six sigma methodology in driving plant quality improvements
  • Utilize, lead, and support lean manufacturing methods to reduce cycle times and inventory levels
  • Drive digitization initiatives / brilliant factory improvements
  • Develop the plant budget and control spending to budget levels
  • Develop and execute capital investment plans
  • Execute an effective communication plan for the facility

    Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in manufacturing positions including 5 years of experience in manufacturing leadership roles

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Materials experience
  • Exposure to and participation in lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Six Sigma training
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Ability to establish cross-functional connections within a matrix organization
  • Strong understanding of ERP systems, Oracle preferred
  • Working knowledge of API 6A requirements
