Role Summary:
The Product Engineering Integration Manager will become the M&A integration expert in GE Digital for the function. The person hired into this position will be responsible for supporting and coaching product engineering leadership and assigned integration teams to create a target state technology blueprint and integration roadmap for both the Predix platform and impacted applications.

Essential Responsibilities:
In essence, this person will be responsible for supporting the integration of the engineering aspects of products, teams and processes for all M&A integrations executed by GE Digital.

The ideal candidate is a technology leader with the vision to integrate acquired products and technologies across the GE Digital technology landscape. This is a key position in GE Digital to drive integration innovation, thought leadership, and value for our customers and shareholders.

In this role you will:
  • Lead the development of an integration toolkit comprising architecture blueprints, templates, processes, engineering metrics and leading practices for ongoing and future acquisitions
  • Build a strong network across all pillars of the GE Digital organization: Platform, Applications, etc. by interacting with Product Engineering leadership and teams
  • Guide engineering integration leadership in the design and development of an integration roadmap and implementation plan based upon an end-to-end view of the entire GE Digital technology landscape (and future vision)
  • Continuously work with Product Management Integration Manager to understand product requirements, vision and release roadmaps across the GE Digital technology landscape
  • As required, partner with the Business Development team to provide insights to the product engineering integration team during the due diligence process
  • Provide guidance to engineering leadership on planning and budgeting of integration activities using GE Digital leading practices (e.g., SCRUM-based development)
  • Drive increased efficiency across multiple technology-related integration teams by identifying synergies, eliminating duplication and reusing integration-related artifacts
  • Facilitate the impact assessment of an acquisition as related to technology choices, design /architectural considerations and implementation strategy
  • Facilitate the capture of integration requirements by brainstorming with product management and engineering for both GE Digital and the acquired company
  • Train integration teams on integration planning and tools

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related technology
  • 5 years of experience working in the technology industry or in product organizations that serve similar industries.

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience in acquisition integration in a product engineering workstream of a large complex multi-national company
  • Demonstrated capabilities with developing architectural requirements for a complex, multi-platform application, and aligning architectural requirements with product vision.
  • Understanding of the existing Internet of Things (IoT) landscape, ecosystem and enterprise software market opportunities is a strong plus
  • Understanding of architectural implications with building Cloud-based applications using SaaS, PaaS and IaaS tools and infrastructure
  • Experience in asset performance management or manufacturing applications as well as operational intelligence, data security, real-time and predictive analytics
  • Strong grasp and focus on usability; experience in driving UI focused products including operational intelligence/business intelligence platforms; experience working closely with UI design team to drive UI task flows and have preferably participated in usability testing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, proven track record of building strong relationships and establishing credibility with customers, prospects, sales, engineering, and the Engineering team
  • Strong technical background with the ability to quickly develop deep product knowledge and communicate the business values to the field and customers
  • Proven organizational skills; ability to multi-task and work on several assignments concurrently; detail oriented
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented, able to work both autonomously and effectively as part of a geographically dispersed team
