Role Summary: The Program Manager directs a virtual cross-functional engineering development team. The position drives clarity by defining and prioritizing the program objectives, critical success factors and deliverables for the team. Additionally, the Program Manager motivates the team and drives a sense of urgency on meeting program commitments.
Essential Responsibilities: 1. Driving effective communication across businesses and functions and responsible for product life cycle management 2. Driving product planning and multi-generational product/platform roadmap execution 3. Leading a cross-functional team with involvement from product manager, service, supply chain and sourcing to establish and execute the plan from end of sales to end of service for relative products 4. Working with the Business Team and program leadership team to deliver quality products on time, within budget and with competitive features 5. Cross-functional project execution leadership including (but not limited to) concept discussion, program execution, clinical and pilot trials, and product field delivery 6. Working closely with Product Definition team in order to drive product direction
Qualifications/Requirements: 1. Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation or Biomedical Engineering) 2. 5+ years program management/product development experience in engineering 3. Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional project teams and an ability to drive project design plans to completion satisfying quality, performance, schedule and budget 4. Demonstrated understanding/experience with the product life cycle management, transfer programs, product cost reduction programs or other cost productivity projects. 5. Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, timing and quality of outcomes 6. Demonstrated problem-solving and leadership skills 7. Demonstrated facilitation and negotiation skills in driving closure on product/program-related decisions/issues 8. Fluent written and oral English communication skills
Desired Characteristics: 1. Master or equivalent degree from business management or engineering 2. Healthcare industry experience developing products within an FDA regulated environment 3. Strategic planner and thinker with ability to drive change across the segment products 4. Demonstrated experience on global product releases throughout the entire NPI cycle 5. Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task
