Role Summary:
As Sr Director – Digital Product Management, you will be responsible for creating strong working relationships & influence across executive leadership, product management, engineering and other functional groups to execute the Digital Embedded Systems Rotorcraft strategy within GE Aviation Digital, and across GE businesses, partners, and customers. You will mentor junior PMs and EPMs.

Essential Responsibilities:
As a domain expert for your portfolio, you will engage customers at mid-level management and technical levels to develop/refine portfolio strategy, influence customer & industry direction and execute strategy. As the Rotorcraft portfolio manager, you will elevate how we engage with internal and external businesses. You will be accountable for driving successful delivery of products, making recommendations on extending software/hardware solutions, and representing General Electric to the outside market, including customers, partners and analysts.

In this role you will:

  • Responsible for product line performance with targets on orders, revenue, cost & margin. Identifies and influences market trends and opportunities.
  • Drives vision & strategy, roadmap and product lifecycle for sub business unit and its portfolio of products & solutions.
  • Be a domain/business expert for the portfolio to guide teams, establish/refine product management processes and build and mentor high performance team of PMs and EPMs.
  • Work cross functionally across engineering, marketing, sales, internal and external customers, analysts and senior management teams to formulate and execute the strategy.
  • Establish and manage relationship across GE businesses & sub-businesses, partners and customers at director level and above and technical expert levels across industries and geographies.
  • Establish strong working relationship with account managers, technical sales and user/developer community.
  • Global travel required as necessary.
  • This role is responsible for a large product or portfolio of products/solutions.
  • Will have strong financial acumen and accountability.
  • Will engage customers at director level and above as a trusted partner.
  • Cross functional leadership to define and execute the vision and strategy.
  • Delivers against P&L portfolio targets
  • Leadership and coordination of site-wide activities across departments (business, engineering and manufacturing)
  • Accountability for CAA, EASA, MoD DAOS and other regulatory authorities associated with business, development and manufacturing activities
  • Leadership of quality policy and quality management and airworthiness activities
  • Ensure site compliance and EHS adherence
  • Site maintenance and infrastructure oversight

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 5 additional years of experience as a Product Manager.

  • Flexible work location (Eastleigh, UK; Cincinnati, OH; Grand Rapids, MI)
