Role Summary: The Large Scale Industrial Machining Supervisor will be based onsite and is responsible for operating mobile equipment, tools & machinery efficiently and accurately onsite. He or she will supervise and lead machining work onsite independently. This role reports to Senior Service Manager (Onsite Machining /ST Blading Segment).
Essential Responsibilities: You will be part of larger specialized field team. This is a business critical role you will be primarily responsible for overhaul and refurbishment of plant equipment on site and within the workshop in accordance to approved instructions. In addition to this, you will also be responsible for (but not limited to)
Perform maintenance of clean work areas, machines and equipment
Deliver expectations on EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety), Quality, On-Time Delivery, Productivity and Cost Reduction
Completes mandatory trainings
Ensures proper documentation as specified on Test & Inspect Plans, Work instructions
Notifies non-conformances and tags / segregates non-conforming items
Ensures equipment calibration, proper usage of equipment and right material incorporated
Participating in the review and updating of procedures relevant to the business unit
Qualifications/Requirements: To be successful in this role you would possess and/or demonstrate the following
Fitter / Machinist Trade Certificate
8 to 10 years’ experience operating manual Workshop machinery
8 to 10 years’ experience with onsite Machining and Mobile Equipment
Able to lead machining job independently
Deep domain expertise for onsite machining
Able to engage with engineering on machining solutions, drawings
Flexible with travelling at short notice (national & international) for an extended period
