Role Summary: Healthcare is the next industry facing the wireless and mobile revolution. GE Healthcare has in Helsinki worldwide center of excellence for designing of wireless patient monitoring solutions. We make healthcare affordable and accessible everywhere. Are you a seasoned veteran or emerging talent in mobile, wireless, SW and HW technologies and want to make a difference? We are looking for a SW Engineer to develop embedded software for IoT solutions with a team of medical technology professionals.
Development of SW protocol stacks for proprietary wireless communication protocols
Development of wireless protocol specifications
Develop embedded software for sensor data acquisition
Develop drivers and implement communication protocols for input and output of patient wearable device
Testing and analysis of communication protocols
Test automation implementation for the wireless protocols
Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Wireless Communication or equivalent
Experience with embedded software design and implementation
Significant experience in object oriented design methodology and C/C++ programming languages
Familiar with Agile software development methods
Experience with unit testing
Working knowledge with configuration management tools (ideally Gerrit, GIT)
Fluency in English, both spoken and written
EU work permit
Significant experience in radio protocol stack development
Software development experience to minimize power consumption of mobile systems.
Working knowledge with Cortex-M MCUs.
Knowledgeable in Python
Experience using Robot Framework, Google Test Framework, Linux
