Role Summary: The Senior Sourcing Manager - Indirect for Industrial Solutions will be responsible for developing and leading Business Sourcing Commodity team and managing a spend of ~ 350 MM. You will partner with Global Operations Indirect Sourcing to execute Indirect Sourcing plans to achieve business goals.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Senior Sourcing Manager - Indirect, you will:
Be responsible for coordinating with Tier 1 Business Indirect Sourcing Team and Global Operations Category Management teams to develop and execute Indirect Sourcing plan for a spend of ~350 MM for all of Industrial Solutions
Develop the commodity organization for indirect buy that supports Industrial Solutions globally and lead a team of direct reports and matrixed sourcing professionals motivating them to achieve a common sub-commodity vision
Partner with business cross functional teams and Factory teams to implement cost reduction actions, best practices and ensure policies are followed
Support cost-out initiatives (Bullet Trains) on usage reduction actions
Collect and assess market trend analysis, external benchmarking, spend analysis, supplier rationalization and development, supplier risk, performance and compliance monitoring, and ongoing supplier management and governance; provide business with insights to adapt to changing market conditions
Lead execution of commodity strategy, use of preferred suppliers, (supplier selection, qualification, development, and overall supplier management, including drafting, managing and terminating contracts)
Continuously develop and leverage technical / market expertise in global sub commodity area and ensure these learnings are shared and leveraged throughout the organization
Create and enforce policies to drive / enable the commodity strategy, drive process improvement / simplification, and optimize Sourcing resources that deliver improved operational efficiency and/or enhance the value to the businesses
Collaborate and influence stakeholders and peers to develop and drive Sub-Commodity strategy
Coordinate with Global Operations Category Management team to ensure strategies are aligned with business priorities to deliver on deflation, cash and support goals and objectives
Prepare and brief Indirect Sourcing execution plans, implement and track goal progress to business executives
Continuously benchmark to identify and leverage best practices from other businesses, companies, partners and customers
Monitor projects in Savings tracking database as well as driving implementation of Standard Prices in Procurement transaction platforms
Conduct Capacity Audits, track any Red Flags that impede supplier performance and control revisions at suppliers
Ensure any quality issues have the appropriate focus
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
Minimum of 8 years of experience in Supply Chain or Sourcing role
Ability and willingness to travel domestically 25% of the time, as required
Masters in Business Administration (MBA)
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification or equivalent quality certification
Strong PC and database management skills
Strong oral and written communications skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Proven project management and process improvement ability
Change agent with the ability to influence at all levels
