Role Summary: We are looking for a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join the Dalia Power Plant Operations and Maintenance team.
As a Lead Mechanical Engineer you shall be responsible for leading a team and supporting mechanical maintenance activities on site, taking part in preparing and executing planned and unplanned activities as well as supporting the implementation of quality systems that meet GE contractual requirements, to achieve targets derived from contractual, technical and commercial obligations.
Essential Responsibilities: • Manage and coordinate all mechanical maintenance activities, in close coordination with the Maintenance Manager to meet the contractual availability guarantees, including preparation and planning of inspections. • Ensure that the execution of mechanical maintenance activities is based on the required plant availability, reliability and performance taking into consideration budget and costs • Adapt the Power Station Management System guidance documents to sites specifics Work Instructions to reflect the maintenance requirements • Ensure that all applicable maintenance procedures are updated and followed • Provide direct technical guidance and support and assist the Customer in improving relevant maintenance procedures related to mechanical systems • Work closely with GE field service and inspection personnel to ensure coordination and cooperation between all parties • Manage a team, including training, mentoring and periodical assessment of their ability and potential in relevant scope of work • Analyze incident reports and implement necessary corrective actions • Analyze operational data related to contractual guarantees and obligations and recommend corrective actions when needed • Identify initial spare parts and maintain the required stock availability, ensuring timely availability of identified spare parts, consumables and tools for planned maintenance activities • Assist the Customer in selecting tools and equipment required for maintenance • Ensure that the team, suppliers and contractors comply with all applicable Environmental, Health & Safety requirements • Assist in determining relevant training for Customer's staff and its subsequent implementation • Attain broad understanding of diagrams and schematics, P&ID, KKS code, etc
Qualifications/Requirements: 1. Mechanical Engineer/ Practical Engineer 2. At least 4 years’ experience working in an industrial facility - preferably industrial manufacturing plant or power station 3. Experience with heavy rotating mechanical equipment, high pressures pumps, gas turbines, steam turbines, steam generators HRSG, WTP facilities, ACC/ ACT, BOP systems 4. Good knowledge of piping standards and welding methods –an advantage 5. Ability to lead a team of mechanical technicians and subcontractors 6. Willingness to work at heights 7. Hands on approach and ability to work under pressure 8. Fluent Hebrew and good English 9. Able to be an-call/work on weekends and holidays
