Role Summary: The Machine Operator Entry - Flow Cells 2nd Shift will be required to perform each of the tasks below in a safe and timely manner. The Operator must focus on quality as well as productivity.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Machine Operator Entry - Flow Cells 2nd Shift, you will:
Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunctions, adjusting machines as necessary
Inspect workpieces for defects, and measure workpieces to determine accuracy of machine operation, using rules, templates, or other measuring instruments
Read blueprints to determine product specifications
Start machines to engage feeding, cooling, and lubricating mechanisms
Perform minor machine maintenance, such as oiling or cleaning machines, dies, or workpieces, or adding coolant to machine reservoirs
Inspect, measure, or test completed metal workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using measuring and testing devices
Assemble, align, and clamp workpieces into holding fixtures to bond components
Changeover, operate, or tend machines
Correct problems by adjusting controls or by stopping machines and opening holding devices
Select work from SAP production schedule and perform confirmation transactions
Repetitive heavy lifting
High School Diploma / GED
Good safety, attendance and performance record
Able to interpret shop blueprints
Able to interpret MOSs
Able to do arithmetic and basic shop math
Use standard measuring instruments
Work with minimum supervision
Works well with others
