Role Summary:
The Maintenance Leader will report to the WSO campus Maintenance Manager/BTL. The Maintenance Leader will be responsible for leading a team of qualified trade craftsmen and other resources to drive exceptional regulatory and quality assurance, for optimized services for the protection of people and assets, and for enhancing business growth by maintaining world-class buildings for customers and employees.

Essential Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include:
• Ensuring GE and regulatory EHS, life safety and building code compliance
• Driving customer service and work completion based on priorities set by customers (main focus of Maintenance is Manufacturing related to safety, throughput equipment, lean mfg projects, Periodic/Preventative Maintenance (PM), improvement projects and administrative area moves).
• Responsible for working with administrative assistants as it relates to room setups for events. This includes the WTE training room.
• Maintaining all mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems
• Maintaining facilities equipment such as fire protection, elevators, water, compressed air, chilled water/boiler systems and outside grounds (including snow removal, landscaping, etc)
• Maintaining and generating procedures for preventative maintenance and work tasks while keeping in mind the GPM (GE Professional Maintenance) philosophy to help drive maintenance efficiency.
• Planning, scheduling, assigning, forecasting, and balancing department workload.
• Manage CMMS (Infor EAM) system at Trout/MR/WTE. This includes ensuring MR/WTE/Trout maintenance personnel log their time to work orders/PMs/projects
• Work with WSO site facilities’ team to manage facilities projects for cost, schedule, safety and quality
• Work with maintenance planner/scheduler to ensure hours are balanced for IAMAW LL1916.
• Work with maintenance planner/scheduler to ensure maintenance Time and Attendance is complete each week in Kronos.
• Ensure messages from WSO campus maintenance manager/BTL are followed and passed down as it relates to the changing business environment.
• Work with WSO campus maintenance manager/BTL to ensure the facilities’ budget is met and suggest ways to improve base costs including fixed base costs such as energy.
• Managing and co-lead the EHS Contractor Safety Element #11 program. This includes ensuring proper permits are completed and contractors are following company policies.
• Work with WSO campus maintenance manager/BTL to ensure company issued maintenance vehicles are well maintained.
• Serving as local Crisis Management Leader, Security Leader, and liaison for the MR/WTE buildings. Work with the other WSO campus SSLs (site security leaders) as necessary.
• Ensuring consistent operating procedures and policies for the facility
• Reporting on maintenance accomplishments in the areas of safety corrective actions and improvements, PM’s, repair work orders, and improvement projects
• Ensure all facility and maintenance-related Quality (QMS-relevant) work instructions are followed and kept current. Be prepared to deliberate over these WIs as necessary during audits.

1. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
2. Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
3. Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required.
4. Knowledge of GEHC Purchasing Controls Procedures and operates within them to ensure that all purchased services conform to specified requirements.
5. Knowledge of GE Corporate Real Estate Procedures & Policies and operate within them to ensure that all leases & related documents are in compliance.
6. Knowledge and understanding of GEHC Work Instructions relevant to facilities design, repair, and maintenance and operates within them to ensure they conform to the specified requirements.

Qualifications/Requirements:
1. Minimum 2-year technical degree
2. Manufacturing environment and Facility Manager work experience
3. Project management experience
4. Power distribution, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and fire protection systems experience
5. Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Power Point, Maintenance Systems (preferably InFor EAM), Auto-CAD
6. Experience working with time and attendance reporting software such as Kronos

Desired Characteristics:
1. Engineering Bachelors’ Degree
2. Six Sigma Green Belt Certified
3. Demonstrated experience of working with and leading hourly, Union maintenance personnel
4. Demonstrated collaboration, negotiation & conflict resolution skills
5. Demonstrated ability to lead, acknowledge, develop, communicate & implement strategies in a team environment
6. Strong communication skills, verbal and written
7. Proven ability to be a successful change agent
8. Proven ability to work outside the norm (“outside the box”) and be willing to accept and promote change as it relates to business success and evolvement.
