Role Summary: The objective of the role will be to support European Indirect Sourcing Leaders in consolidating and managing the overall spend for certain commodity for all GE business segments in Europe. This is a highly visible cross-business sourcing role, that requires strategic vision, result delivery, project and stakeholders management skills.
Consolidate and manage Commodity yearly spend analytics
Participate in development and implementation of region wide Commodity strategy for all GE Businesses
Work closely with functional leaders at European level to prepare strategic changes
Communicate to business sourcing peers and senior managers, obtain support for multi GE divisional projects
Lead data gathering and analytics
Participate in supplier negotiations, manage electronic bidding process and project/supplier communication
Contribute to building and implementing best-in-class sourcing processes
Manage e-procurement strategy for commodity including online catalog/content management
Work with GE businesses and/or suppliers to manage and track implementation of Sourcing contracts
Liaise with Global Commodity team(s) to align sourcing strategy and implementation approach
Contributing in preparing contracts and other ad-hoc administrative tasks
Active student enrollment for min. 6 months
Business/Economics/Finance or similar studies
Excellent communication, networking skills
Structured personality with good organizing skills
Fluent in English, additional European language is a plus
Energy, enthusiasm and drive
